Introduction to Right Use of Power
Program Summary:
Right Use of Power is a dynamic way to explore issues of ethics and power, both personal and professional. This approach brings heart and soul to ethics, and builds sensitivity and awareness to the use of power and influence and can be profoundly restorative and empowering. Right Use of Power’s core concepts are to be informed and present, compassionate and aware, connected and accountable, skillful and wise. Topics to be covered include various kinds of power and the power differential, how to resolve difficulties and mediating the corrupting influence of elevated power. Methods of presentation will include lecture, experiential exercises, debriefs of
exercises in pairs, small groups, or the whole group, self-assessments.
